Almost Every Sunday!

The Peanut Regatta is a series of informal races that provide a fun, low intensity introduction to racing and a sailing skills building opportunity. All sailors will gain experience navigating a charted course among other vessels. Practice your sailing skills with other sailing enthusiasts and share the cost of a charter. See you on the water!

The total course length is 8.67 nautical miles. The Start/Finish line will be between Clear Lake Entrance Marker #1 and Marker #2. The start is a staggered, pursuit formatted start sequence based on the handicap starting time and the course will be around fixed marks located in Galveston Bay. Two courses will be used for the Peanut Regatta Series. Odd number races are standard course, even number are reverse.

Race Schedule is every Sunday except holidays (i.e. Mother’s Day, Easter, etc…). Some Saturday Peanut Regattas will occur when there are open dates on the Galveston Bay sailing schedule and weather or holidays make a switch desirable.

Schedule

11:00 - Check-in, followed by the skipper and crew briefing

12:45 - Approx. start time for Peanut Regatta

  4:00 - Finish approx., return to marina, secure and clean the boat
