The annual Turkey Day Regatta pursuit race on upper Galveston Bay is the last large regatta of the year and it's a great way to usher in the holiday season!  Join South Coast Sailing Adventures and perfect your sail trimming and navigation techniques while maximizing boat speed.   The race committee will run as many races as possible during the event; usually two.  Event specifics will be announced at the skipper's meeting.  The annual regatta is hosted by Houston Yacht Club. 

Tentative Schedule 

Friday    7:00 pm    Competitors' Briefing at HYC  Saturday   

7:00 am    Check in at SCSA for skipper & crew briefing     

8:00 am    Complete departure checklist and depart the dock for HYC 

10:30 am    First race begins (approximate time)   

5:00 pm    Sail to HYC for the after race party and awards; overnight aboard the vessel  Sunday   

9:00 am   Depart Houston Yacht Club 

11:00 am    Return to Seabrook Marina 

Price  Public: $295 per sailor  Club Members: $255 per sailor 

The fees include boat usage, overnight accommodations aboard the vessel, race registration fees and entrance to the race after-party and awards ceremony.
