A more advanced course for students with some cruising experience. This course is 3 day, 2 night live aboard adventure that teaches students to sail a 30-50 ft boat by day in coastal waters as both skipper and crew. This course covers topics such as meal planning and provisioning, boat systems and general maintenance. Also covered are basic navigation skills and chart plotting, VHF operations, rules of the road, anchoring skills, maneuvers under power, man overboard recovery and more docking.

Additionally, students will learn to act as skipper or crew of a 30-50 ft catamaran sailing by day in coastal waters. They will also learn knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures. This is an endorsement to 104. Overnight accommodations are included. Please bring your own bedding or contact us for rental information. 

Prerequisites: ASA 101, 103 (Basic Keelboat Sailing Certification, Basic Coastal Cruising Certification).
