Overnight Sail to Galveston - Mardi Gras
South Coast Sailing Club will be celebrating "Fat Tuesday", also known as Mardi Gras! Saturday, February 26 we will meet for a skipper & crew briefing at 9:00 am, and depart at 9:30 am for the four hour sail to Galveston. You will be responsible for your own food, drinks, and sack lunches for the sail to and from Galveston. Provisions are available within one mile of our office. Berth on a Boat will also be available on Friday night ($50 per sailor).

We will berth overnight at Galveston Yacht Basin on Saturday to attend the food, parades and of course, the BEADS! For a full list of events in Galveston, or for more information about any part of Mardi Gras Galveston, please see the official website at http://www.mardigrasgalveston.com/.

The group will set sail for home shortly after lunch on Sunday, so as to return to the marina before dusk.

We are also offering the ADVANCE COASTAL CRUISING (ASA 106) the same weekend (class begins Thursday evening) and the Mardi Gras Flotilla will meet up in Galveston with the class on Saturday.
