Sail on over to South Coast for a grape-stomping time!

Join us for a Galveston Bay day sail and dinner social this Saturday. Share the cost of one of our fine charter vessels with other sailing enthusiasts. Hone your navigation, sail trimming, and other skills as you cruise Galveston Bay. For those of you that don't know how to sail, this is a relaxed environment with people of all skill levels.

After the sail we will enjoy wine and dinner on the patio. The main entrée will be provided by South Coast Sailing, bring your favorite appetizer, side dish or dessert to share! Bring along your favorite wine or preferred beverage!

      Schedule:

12:30 pm    Check in at SCSA for a skipper & crew briefing             

  1:00 pm    Depart the dock for the sail                                                                                          

  5:00 pm    Return to the dock, clean and secure the boat; proceed to the patio for dinner

Three, Two, One, GO! Put your weekend into high gear and join South Coast Sailing Adventures for the GBCA Rum Races this summer! The Rum Race Series is an annual event sponsored by the Galveston Bay Cruising Association and is intended for fun, informal racing. The races are open to sailors of all ages and experience levels and are a great opportunity for anyone to get some sailing experience in a competitive environment. The GBCA Rum Races are a pursuit style, fixed mark, 11.3 nautical mile course around Galveston Bay. Start times are staggered and determined by each boat’s PHRF rating. Race instructions, start times, route, and additional details will be provided upon registration for each race. Space is limited for each race, so register in advance! Meet at South Coast Sailing Adventures at 2:30pm. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board to enjoy.
