Lauren Kahre is currently a senior at Friendswood High School. In additon to being certified through ASA 103, Lauren is a Small Boat Sailing Assistant Instructor. She plays goalkeeper for her high school soccer team, and plans to go to college next fall. She also teaches a first grade Sunday School class at her church.

Growing up on the Louisiana bayous, Captain Darryl Hinson (no photo available) has sailed everything from a raft on the Mississippi River, to Hobie Cats on Lake Texhoma, to monohulls on the Gulf of Mexico. Having been sailing for 20 years, Darryl received his Coast Guard OUPV License in 2005 and is ASA certified to teach Basic Keelboat (101) through Bareboat Chartering (104). Captain Darryl lives on his 26 foot C&C docked at the Kemah Boardwalk Marina.
