Summer Sailstice Club Sail

Join South Coast Sailing Adventures and  thousands of sailors from around the globe to promote the sport of sailing!  Celebrate the day by sailing on one of South Coast’s fine vessels and join fellow sailors from all 50 states and over 40 countries as we sail together, all over the world.

Founded in 2001 by John Arndt, Summer   Sailstice is the global sailing holiday celebrated on the weekend closest to the summer solstice.  The event, created to unite the sailing community in a multifaceted, multi-location event, unites nearly 20,000 sailors from all over the globe.  Cruisers, racers and recreational sailors hit the water on Summer   Sailstice day to celebrate and showcase life under sail. Saturday, June 23rd marks the 18th anniversary of Summer Sailstice, which has grown to include participants from Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Bring a sack lunch and check-in for the event at 9:30 am followed by a captain and crew briefing and set sail by 10:00 am. Depending on the consensus of the sailors we can sail towards Redfish Island and anchor, eat, and swim about, or we can just sail a little longer than the normal club sail in honor of Summer Sailstice. We'll return around 4:00 pm to clean and secure the boat and then socialize on the patio! (BYOB) This is a perfect opportunity to sharpen your sail trimming skills and to join other sailing enthusiasts for a day of celebration and fun.
